An AA Award Winning Feast

OUR BREAKFAST

At The Battledown, we are proud to use the very best locally sourced products to create your freshly prepared breakfast. Since 2012 we have been accredited with the AA breakfast award in recognition of this.

Breakfast is served between 7:30am and 8:30am weekdays and between 8.00am and 9:30am at weekends and on Bank Holidays.  

If you have any special dietary requirements please let us know to enable us to provide suitable alternatives.

Source
  • Sausages and Bacon: Waghornes Village Butchers in Prestbury is an independent business owned and run by Nigel since 1984.

    They supply us with our dry cured Gloucestershire back bacon and handmade free range British pork sausages.

  • Eggs: Court Farm, Stoke Orchard supplies our free range eggs. Simon and his family have been nurturing happy hens for over 50 years that lay beautifully fresh eggs with golden yolks. 

  • Salmon: Smoked and kiln roasted at Severn and Wye Smokery in Gloucestershire.

  • Fruit and Vegetables: Supplied by local Greengrocers.

We Make
  • Muesli: Jumbo oats, dried fruit, seeds and roasted nuts. 

  • Granola: Jumbo oats, dried fruit, coconut and seeds baked with maple syrup, honey and vanilla. 

  • Mixed Berry and Bramley Apple Jam: Made with fresh fruits (local when possible).
  •  
  • Orange, Ginger and Rosemary Marmalade: Made using fresh oranges, with rosemary from our garden.

  • Banana Bread: Made with 5 ripe bananas and local eggs.

  • Pancakes: Individually made with local eggs.

  • Battledown Beans: White kidney beans slow cooked with onion, garlic, tomatoes, brown sugar, red wine vinegar, and smoked paprika.

  • Butternut Squash, sage and cheddar potato cake: Roasted Butternut squash, West Country cheddar and fresh sage mixed with mashed potato.

  • Fruit Compote: Made with fresh fruits (local when possible).

  • Berry and Cinnamon Compote: Made with fresh fruits (local when possible).
